Hello...we bought an outdoor clock/thermometer for my mother in imperative for Christmas. But the thermometer part does not appear to be working. When I took it out of the box, it said that it was 20 degree Farenheit (I was indoors). Messing near it, I found I could move the little hand around by touching the metal subdivision on the back side. It also have what looks like a gaunt strip of metal wrapped around the piece of metal several times.

Is there any road I can fix this?

Thanks,
JHawkDon
Answers:    Not all thermometers are competent to be calibrated. A model or mark brand might help us?

But apposite luck anyway
You may be able to set it by comparing it to another thermometer, but it sounds similar to a cheap combination from K-Mart. Buy her another with a reputable entitle.ie: Taylor
