That is the sound you obtain when the motor is starting to go bad or it is only just locked up. You can try some WD-40 and spinning it by hand but you probably need a spanking new motor.

The fan motor is probably clogged with dust, dirt and cast-offs. Take the casing off the AC and remove the motor. It should solely take removing a few screws. Take the motor verbs it and spray it with WD-40.

Answers:    if its your condenser admirer your talking about...and youve disconnected it, DO NOT run your ac, you can seriously devastate your compressor, it will just run way to hot. dont mess around. replace the motor. you gotta spend some money if you wanna free some in the long run.
