How can I report if my propane container for my bbq grill is insincere?
Turn it on and light a match. buy its weiight or if it is not producing any more gas
By nouns when you bang on it--if it has over a third or so it will not nouns hollow.
By using one of the temp sensitive stick on tapes--you stick the tape on, they are cheap, pour boiling water over the video and look to see where the color on the tape change. Where it changes is the level of the propane surrounded by the tank.
By weighing it, but within my entire life, I have never see any person except those who fill them at the propane place in fact weigh them. I doubt any normal person would even know how much the reservoir plus the propane weighs when totally full, partially full, and uninhabited.
If in doubt and you are going to grill, just turn and have it filled or exchange it if you feel it is too low.
Answers: When you steak is on the BBQ for one hour and still not cook, than you better change you tank,
You can buy a stick-on indicator for the side of the container. that tells you where the propane height is. pick it up give it a little shake,if it have much in it you will hear liquid slosh around,or it will be lighting..tom
You might be lucky enough to have a measuring device on your propane supply system that is designed to show you when the pressure is too low -- it would be a red portion on the gauge extent. Have you looked? The tank should have an unoccupied weight stamped on it. Weigh yourself, then pick up the container and reweigh. The difference is the weight of the tank. A full container has about 17 - 18 lbs of propane.
