I have bought a small under the counter freezer.
I'm finding I never oversee to fill it very full as I live alone and don't get through a great deal of frozen food as I prefer fresh (but I love ice cream).
So I repeatedly only have it partially full or less and it frosts up really quickly.
Is in that anything I can put in it to fill up the gap so it won't ice up too fast, or tips on how to use it economically.
Save your senseless ice cream containers and fill them next to water. Place them in your freezer until you own it full. A full freezer will be much cheaper to run. To make your freezer economical you should set the thermostat control to a lowest number.
Yea keep it full! Loaves of bread or even bottles of water - the more the upper air in it circulates, the more it costs you to run! Keep it full and put a thermometer in it.
Set it to 28 degree so it doesn't have to work so hard and rime up so badly.
It will last longer too!
Answers: Fill the gap with newspaper, brimful flat, not crumpled. Sounds daft but it is the best way to improve value. Trust me.
A really good tip I have was to fill it up next to cheap bread.. turn it off lol tc
