Hi, I just have a pre purchase inspection done and im i know the above report is not good as the roof and complete house is sinking in the central point. but what i dont know is what can be done? it is and older house so the plan be to do it up slightly but then rent it out until its capably... fit to be demolished and hope to make a profit bad the land. we will be however living within it for the next few years while we fix the smaller issues. im merely completely confused by this outcome. I have no impression what can be done. Is there a agency to improve drainage or to coppers the slope of the land when the house is already exsiting? Any help out would be appreciated. I have to receive my descision on whether or not to buy it in 3 hrs !!!
If you are going to demo the house anyway consequently why not. You may have some collapsed drain or sewer beneath the house or there could be some other type of blankness like a sink hole or cavern. See if you can look up history on this property and if there be anything there earlier the house. I understand you don't hold much time on this. Weigh the good points and doomed to failure then receive your decision. Good Luck.

Not of satisfactory info to answer well, however...if the home is on blocks, target NOT a slab of concrete, you should be able to hold the home leveled, perhaps by shoring up the mid-section of the home. I significantly recommend professionals.

And if the home is on blocks, it seems to be workable to rework the land below the home and slope it away from the center.

If the home is sinking, you really need to chew over long and hard on this. It seem to be quite the risky endeavor.
Answers:    Buy the home.

Why? Because the competence of the homes built today is obscene. With the passage of respectively decade, I've seen a adjectives of corners on every material and shortcut possible.

The prices society are paying for these feeble veneer of "home" is a pathetic (but true) statement concerning the foolishness of the average American homeowner.

You can modify any slant (interior) without much trouble.

I would plainly negotiate the issue with a reduced cost of the property to you.

If you want the inside dirt on how flimsy different homes are, email me. I helped build them until my conscience forbade me to do so anymore.
