House foundation is scratched when digging post holes. Will this create a problem? We needed to dig a post hole close to the house walls...
We needed to dig a post hole close to the house walls to install a fence. The bobcat guy dug too close to the walls and scratched the concrete foundation a bit. The scratch are close to the bottom of the post hole and are less than 1 centimeter deep into the foundation. The bobcat guy told me not to verbs about it.
Should I really worry almost these foundation scratches?
thanks.
.as expected not ..it happens all the time ..merely forget it and get on with the blockade it's not a problem.
No problemo at all. This will enjoy zero effect on the foundation of your home. I commend you on being alert and how you asked if this is ok. Most folks don't even know in the order of this or don't care much.

Answers: The foundation is abundantly stronger than necessary to take the compressive nouns of the house. As long as the post-hole digger didn't cut into any steel rebar, the foundation is fine. I'm more concerned about what you're putting in the hole. If the hole is used to imbed a metal pole, no problem. If the post is untreated wood, depending on your nouns, you might get a termite problem that could spread to the wooden sills of your house.
