In one of the two bathrooms - that we rarely used - I lately found that shower has in a minute only hot dampen running. The valve is Moen brand beside a single knob. On turning this, I get no cold river, but just hot marine.
I removed the knob, and decided to possibly replace the cartidge, but could not make any headway, after removing the acrylic knob. First, do I entail to remove the cartridge?
If yes, how? Is it possible to remove it in need removing the back-plate glued to the Tile walls?

Will appreciate detailed instructions to remove or fix the spigot?

Answers:    the spout should have a c shaped clip holding it within.
do that with the hose shut off.
if you enjoy cold water to the tub spout, possibly the valve body is clogged beside sediment, or a CW valve have collapsed.you have to remove the backbone plate to access the valve body.

Take off the pedal, this may require and allen wrench to go contained by the bottom part of the bar, and then remove the front cover plate. Then filch off the screw surrounded by the center of the valve. Remove the tube on the tap.( This should be a tube with a square indent at the top)Then remove the clip holding the cartridge. It have enough sticking out the top for you to get hold of it and pull it up. (Make sure your marine is off) Then pull the tape out. Got a good grip and PULL. It doesn't other come out easy. Then replace it next to a new one, and put it vertebrae together. Tada!!! Now Moen offers a lifetime warranty of parts, so it shouldn't cost you more next elbow grease. Find a local plumbing supply warehouse and they will give you a bright cartridge for free, although they may require you to bring the hoary one first.
