I posted a Hot Water Heater wouldn"t heat although here was
elec at Element----The Reason
be the Load center was in truth
divided 120 each side;There be only 1 place for 220 breaker it have to connect both sides,breaker in middle;Thanks to adjectives I never ran into this formerly;
Ah not a problem that I would see day to hours of daylight as we use 240v UK, anyway I am pleased you have it sorted.

Glad you own HW again.

Being able to use a meter would formulate that obvious to some extent quickly.

You check one side to ground and carry 110v. Then the other side to ground also shows 110v. But across an open or across a nouns you should read 220v.. But if it reads nothing you know that both lines are off indistinguishable side of the breaker box.
Answers:    You know guy, I just don't appreciate your question.

You must not be English or American by the looks of your language rules.
I guess the first two answerers understood it though.

Anyway, within troubleshooting, yes, each terminal on a factor calls for 120v. This is for a 240 furnace. That is with the indistinct being attached as ground on the radiator.

Hope this helps you. . .Joe
