The air vent starts, igniter glow and gas lights. Flame is blue, not yellow. Runs for 1 - 2 minutes, gas shuts bad, vent shuts off. 30 second later, vent starts again......same cycle over and over. What's wrong?

Answers:    try turning off the cold sea valve to waterheater and see if it still does this. This will pilfer a possible hotwater leak out of the picture. If it still did it I would check vent pipe(pvc) for obstruction . Make sure the wind isnt driving into vent.Make sure the vent have a slight fall put a bet on towards heater from sidewall termination
