Hot hose grill boiler not functioning correctly?? I have hot sea heat contained by my house and I don't...
I have hot sea heat contained by my house and I don't believe it is working correctly. The temp. in my house doesn't ever seize above 68 even though I have the stat set at 74. The temp. appraise is set at 180 degrees and the boiler does ignite when it drops below 180. The pressure assess reads only under 20. I enjoy now tied the 2 lead from the stat together to bypass it and see if that is the issue. There does come across to be heat coming out of the radiators. Is it possible my house is merely too drafty for the heat to ambush up? I don't feel any signifigant drafts, but it is an elder house. Am I missing something??
Answers: Did you always hold this problem since you moved into the house, or did it just start? If you other had it, the boiler be not sized properly for the house. You can add more attic insulation, which will engineer the house easier to heat, plus retrieve money on the fuel bill.
You can check to make sure at hand is no air contained by the system. If you have baseboard registers you can verbs them with a vacuum. Usually, within the older homes the boiler is oversized so it should be capable of keep up. For more info, check out the boiler page at my source.
