My wife and i just bought a house. the tub tub upstairs, when you turn on the hot water it take a minute to get hot and after quickly runs out and get cold again. we have an on constraint hot water sour our hot water furnace. every other faucet contained by the house runs hot water no problem even the sink faucet contained by the same bathroom ast the tub. HELP!!! awfully frustared new homw owner:(
It may be your mixing valve within the bath tub itself. Have a lic. plumber out to double check this. If the problem is indeed the mixer be sure to enjoy him replace it.
If this problem solely occurs at the tub spout, I would menace a guess that the unit is under-sized for the emergency. A tub spout will flow more water than other fixtures (you can find out exactly how much by nourishing a 5 gallon bucket & timing it). Presumably there a shower lead as well. I would install a super water-saver shower lead & see if the water stove is up to supplying it.
What make & model is it? The on-demand marine heaters that get included next to a small hot water boiler are not noted for providing profusely of GPM (gallons per minute). You can go to the mfg's website to catch the specs. There may also be a tech support phone number there. You should send for it to discuss your hot water dilemma next to the factory rep.
Answers: Yep..... that could drive a individual crazy ...... your problem might be in your faucet itself ......single lever unit have nylon , vitron or rubber seating that can cause adjectives kinds of problems when they wear.......
