We just bought a m.h. and found our hot water container. It has pink insulation all around it and resting on it. Is this ok or will it start a fire?

Answers:    It is probably electric water heater, and sea must been getting cold to quickly, so they insulate it, it shouldn't start fire as long as it does not sitting on exposed electrics

It could possibly start a fire, depending on the type of tank it is. Usually the larger tanks hold a lot of heat the comes rotten the top, and you shouldn't even touch it, let alone cover it with insulation. Please do yourself a favor and remove it.
