I recently looked at a house for public sale that has a hot dampen furnace, and I'm trying to determine if that is a accurate thing or a bleak thing. ANY info on them would be much appriciated, such as cost to replace them, repair them, or service them. Common problems to survey out for, how they opperate, and if it would be better than a regular furnace.

Answers:    Life expectancy for hot water and hot nouns furnaces are about like. Hot water boil is more consistant, less dusty and smaller amount drafty. On the down side the hot water baseboards are not thoroughly attractive and it is not as easy to attach central airconditioning contained by the future.

Yearly service is around the same. They typically replace the fuel grease filter, change the nozzle, verbs and adjust. The circulating pumps last roughly 10 years but they aren't very expensive. There are no nouns filters to adaptation every few months like you own with a hot nouns furnace.

Most hot water systems enjoy multiple zones so you can control the boil in different rooms or parts of the house. This can free some money on heating bills. Many hot hose down systems also make domestic hot marine (for sinks, bath etc). During the winter this is probably a bit more streamlined than a separate hot water stove. During the summer it's a bit less restructured.

I have lived next to both. I actually prefer hot hose down heat.
