Home Warranty - Central Heater? When I purchased a house we got a 1 year home warranty...
When I purchased a house we got a 1 year home warranty that also covered the main heater/air conditioner. The heater have never worked but the air conditioner did. I call the warranty company to come out and look at it and they sent a service guy who noticed and will record that it was a pre-existing condition. The home warranty is by Fidelity Home Warranty. Has anyone have any experience with Home Warranties and will this be covered?
Thank you
Answers: those home warrantys suck Im an HVAC tech they other say its a maintence issue or its not up to code so you enjoy to call someone else or money them to bring them up to code before they work on it they will fix a 20 year out-of-date condenser instead of replacing it they look for the easy cheapest channel out for themselves if it was a pre existing condition why didnt the inspector pick up it? good luck
We get shafted by our home warranty company (American Home Shield), so I wouldn't hold my breath if I were you. From what I've gather, they will call it "not covered" or "pre-existing" 98% of the time. Naturally, on the expensive stuff.
