I have two AC units contained by the attic, each with the dual pvc pipes coming up one stop and going to the drain on the other, one of the units is leaking to the outside drain pipe. I tried pouring a cup of bleach into respectively of the four PVC pipes (each two connected to each other seperated by a pea trap) it is suppose to clear the clog but the unit doesn't quit leak to the outdoor pvc pipe. The drip pans are dry on both units, this have been going on for about 6 months, these unit are about 5 years old. Anyone hold any suggestions?
try taking stale the drain pvc and blowing any junk out of it with a hose. check filter
Us technicians use a tool that holds the CO cartridges and that you can use to instigate the drain. 2
I can suggest you to get one of those tools. Another, get a dampen hose cover the respirators to the piping. Then, open it with the hose down pressure thru the piping. Good luck. Cut drain PVC line ¨C use a saw.
Use a wire to unclog it.
Then connect subsidise the pipes using nipples and PVC glue.
If this connection is too strong for you, wrap them around with duct tape to connect them.
Answers: You must cut the trap (of the unit) out, clean it with a brush, a snake or something that can verbs it really well in side , rinse next to water. Then go to Home Depot or Lowes and bring back 2 nipples, which are rubber material and connect to trap, and connect to pipe, tightened with the screw provided by the nipples.
But if its still spilling water after you do that it might be that your machine is missing Frion and that make that the coil from the evaporator, freezes up, and the blower blows hot air, and makes you own more water, which causes an overflow which explains the drip.
