I chip it away so i can burn logs in it,rework it to an open fire ,at the moment it is newly small whole to connect a gas fire.
Could i do it myself?.
Answers: I would push for a Corgi registered or solid fuel registered engineer to do this for you, as the chimney wants to be tested and commissioned.
i honestly dont think you can .as you hold to direct the flue to stop it smoking
