Let's say equipment A costs $20/day, and $60/week and and I be in motion and pay for sometime of rental, let's say I'm on the fifth hours of daylight now, will I be charged the dif between a morning and a week ($40), an additional week ($60), or an extramural four days? ($80). thanks
Answers:    I enjoy worked for 3 different major rental companies. (Prime, Rental Tool & United) All do in that billing just a bit different. However most companies will charge the each day rate ($20.00) untill you reach the weakly rate. ($60) after that they will pro rate the weekly rate. Basicly this mechanism $60.00 / 5 days = $12.00 per day. You rental payment for 5 days would still just be $60.00. If you have it for 8 days they would charge you $96.00. This price is based on a five morning week. That is what most rental companies work on. Your best bet is to ask upfront. Some smaller companies, ( I have also worked for a few of them) Will travel striktly on the day+week+month plan. This means if you enjoy the item for a week and 4 days they would charge you the weekly fee ($60) plus 4 each day fees ($20) = $100.00. Always ask first. Call around, get quotes. Play one store against the other. You will return with a better rate.

Good Luck
We use Hertz and would get the weekly rate. You should christen them before you pilfer it in newly to let them know - that means of access you will establish good communication. It's worth a try. Next time work this out ahead of time - usually Hertz will work beside you.
