We have almost no insulation at the moment. I'd prefer to fit some that I don't necessitate to wear protective clothing and which won't be a health risk in the adjectives. Hemp looks good at the moment - have anyone out there any experience of alternative insulation? This is for lay on the floor of our loft.
Answers:    Mineral wool is less hazardous than cup fiber. I doubt if hemp has apt insulating properties. I have hear of inferior pure wool being used as loft insulation, but that might be surrounded by Australia.
In Sweden they use shredded treated old the Fourth Estate which dont burn.
In UK vermiculite granules are sometimes used.
There is a rigid foam board covered surrounded by aluminum foil which is cut with a handsaw and set between the joist in the attic floor, ( Urea formaldhide )
hemp wont pass you any insulation,
try felt, ,[like feel blankets]
fiberglass , isn,t a health haszard, its GLASS, , or try foam boards, better insulating, than any entry,
