I've been priming (Bullseye brand) and drawing (Sears 15-year latex) the house, but I haven't got finished. Now it's October 8, and the unseasonably hot weather is done. For the subsequent week or so, temperatures are predicted to be within the low 70's in the daytime and the low 40's at hours of darkness. I'd like to finish, but I don't want to hold to get on the stepladder and do this again anytime soon! Is is getting too cold at night? The paint can say to not apply paint if the weather is going to get below 45, but does that apply to midnight chill, or what? Do you suggest I can still put paint on, or should I hang it up and loaf until spring? Thanks for any help.
Answers: You are fine! Just maintain plugging away I promise you are OK. As long as you finish your last application an hour earlier sundown. It needs to setup up to that time the moisture sets up. I'm a painter. Own a paint store etc. Trust me. That's not even close to being too cold. moral luck
Keep right on truckin - as long as you aren't applying it in 45 point weather you will be OK. Just hurry up!!
