Our pellet stove wasn't putting out much heat and be dripping black gunk so we cleaned the heck out of it and put it back together. and immediately it won't stay lit. We light it and close the door and the flame go out and turns into smoke. What do we do?
Answers: I know nothing almost pellet stoves except that they burn pellets. I know beside my wood stove that if the chimney needs to be cleaned I don't capture a good draft from adjectives the creosote clogging the chimney.
The black goo was creosote which usually forms contained by that state on the cold metal surfaces of the chimney. I would certainly verbs the chimney.
Does the stove use a combustion blower to force the exhaust gases out the chimney? Do you know it is running properly? It almost sounds approaching an air supply problem which would explain the creosote.
Again I don't hold any pellet stove experience, just throwing out design.
that happened to me. what i did be contact the brand of pellet stove and just to engineer sure they know what they were chitchat about i contacted the place where on earth i got it from
