What is wrong with my refrigerator and freezer? It's not cold!?
I own had my refrigerator/freezer (top) since 2003. It's a Whirpool 2002 model. All of a sudden this evening I go down to get some rime out of the freezer. The ice have melted mostly and be sitting in river from where the rime had melt. The ice cream be runny. The meats be unfrozen quite a bit and it feel warm surrounded by there as far as the upper air blowing out.

The fan is still blowing. The wishy-washy comes on when you open the doors. The refrigerator is indistinguishable. The drinks in within were getting thaw. The temperature is space heater than usual - to the point we had to throw everything out.

What should I do? Please don't answer next to "buy another one" - if you don't know anything to try, please don't answer.

I believe I can hear the compressor running. I'm not a handy man by any means when it comes to appliances

Answers:    If the compressor is running you Will hold to call a tech because it is a hermetic system problem. if the compressor is not running but the fan surrounded by the back of the refer is running check the overload relay..... it is mounted on the side of the compressor.
Flood interfere with surrounded by a finished underground...
Sounds similar to it needs a freon gas recharge. Need to phone call a refrigerator repairman. Because it can only be recharged by a licensed soul. It's the law.
