HELP! I newly slammed our wooden garage door a moment or two to concrete and very soon something is wrong!? It's like when I go to close the door it won't run...
It's like when I go to close the door it won't run into the doorway...like it's bigger than the doorway. It doesn't appear to be off the hinge, but maybe just too far over? Does someone know what I am conversation about and how I can fix it??
Answers: check the hinges see if they separated from any the door or frame ...maybe they just entail to be tighten back up.. if not loosen adjectives the screws and re tighten them just to engineer sure
Sounds like you have a door system close to I had, with a sizeable coiled spring on a shaft just above the door and cables running down both sides at the edges. If you slam these doors too concrete when closing, for some reason, one of the cables will hop off the pulley on which it's supposed to wind up and afterwards try to wind up on the shaft, which is too small. It makes the door try to step kiddywhumpus and won't close. You'll need someone who understands this type of door system to reinstall the cable that have jumped, back onto the proper pulley. Then it should work fine.
