I have an all-electric warmness pump with a digital thermostat. Why does the god of the little gray/black flame flash sometimes? What does it mean? My house isn't even three years ancient yet.

The auxiliary bake comes on when the outside unit is defrost or if the heat pump can't preserve up with the warmth load because the outside heat is too low.
