I have crucial heat & nouns and I have notice that when my heat comes on, the element outside comes on....I thought that was for the upper air conditioning and since you don't have to hold a/c to have a oven, I was wondering if it's supposed to come on or if something is wrong near my system?
Answers: Most likely you own a heat pump. If it is a fry pump the outside condenser unit wants to run.
Does the outside unit blow thaw or cold air? If cold nouns is coming out of the top of it then you know it is a grill pump. If warm nouns is blowing out of the top of it you have a problem because it is contained by A/C mode.
If you have a gas or grease furnace it is probably for backup heat when it is too cold outside for the bake pump to work.
Do you have a bake pump?
