I'm interested in buying a condo within a 5-unit brownstone. It's a penthouse (4th floor) unit near private roofdeck, but the condenser is not on the roof - instead, the condenser is behind a plywood panel within the master bedroom closet. Has anyone had experience near this? Advice? Thoughts? Thanks in mortgage.
Answers:    No, I haven't heard of a set up similar to that.

My first thought is that it would be noisy. You will want to hear it running since it is contained by the bedroom.

Second, where does the steam go? It must be vent to exhaust the heat or it won't work. There is little point to simply move the steam in to the bedroom.

Could it be exhausting the fry up in to the attic where on earth there is an attic lover? But it needs nouns flow in too. If the space it is surrounded by is not vented very well the space will get hot, lower success, and could harm the compressor by overheating which raise pressures.

I have see water cooled refrigeration. But if it is marine cooled those need a constant trickle of sea flowing through them and that would be an additional cost.

But, no I own never seen an a/c condensor indoors. Maybe someone else have seen one.

Good Luck.
