Hot water furnace is on, and cold water flows through faucets but, note comes out of the hot water tap.
I am looking for a suitable instruction manual...
Answers:    Maybe you have a frozen pipe somewhere. If it is coming out and it's still cold I would check to power going from the breaker box to the hot wet tank.

I don't know what piece of the country you live in..but it's be zero & minus here for a few days..Perhaps you enjoy a frozen line..hose down that has once be heated, will freeze more rapidly.
