I just bought this component brand new and am using a correct size 100lb. propane cistern with a regulator attached to the reservoir. The flame on pilot and main burner is too dignified. Can i adjust this? and how do i do it? I don't see any pilot adjustments. Can it be the little plastic set screw on my regulator outside? How do i adjust THAT?? I know i can win an allen key and turn it within or out , but which way will supply less pressure?
Answers: For this boiler to work correctly you need to adjust the gas pressure to 11 inches of sea column with a manometer you should not only try to turn it down
This heater have an ODS (oxygen depletion sensor) type pilot and it will not work correctly if the pressure is off by tremendously much.
One question that I be wondering about: are you sure the electric fire was made to use LPG, or is it made for inborn gas. That would give you the problem you are describing.
BTW if you own to ask which way to turn the regulator maybe you should be asking "should I' rather than "how should I"
