Gixing a cracked metal sea pipe? underneath my house there is a small pipe i.e. broken off...
underneath my house there is a small pipe i.e. broken off at the failure leading nowhere. This used to run to an outside faucet but a "friend" helping mow the grass ran into it and broke it. So, right presently I have my river turned off. The pipe is rusted into place and I cannot remove it so I am stuck beside this open pipe. Is near anything I can do to just stamp this off so that it stops? Some type of putty or some path to put a cap on the lapse with no threads on the pipe.
Better not experiment with it!! The problem could grounds more damage if you put acting remedies.Call a qualified plumber to be sure it is done right!!
You might find a rubber coupling at a home renovation store that has a clamp on respectively end. One wrapping up goes over your broken pipe and one over the termination of a new stub pipe to be precise threaded and has a bonnet.
The danger will be that the pipe get a leak and you don't see it right away.
