A standard furnace WILL ignite the burners, and consent to the plenum heat up BEFORE starting the blower enthusiast. This helps minimize the amount of 'cold air' you bring from the system at initial start up. Most systems are somewhat adjustable with regard to how long it will take until that time the blower kicks surrounded by, or how long it blows after the heat have been cut stale. 6 minutes does sound excessive. Youve not provided satisfactory details tho... is this a new system? If so, it should be covered by a 1 year full warranty from Sears, surrounded by addition to the manufacturer's warranty... usually, Kenmore, or Carrier.
I would start beside the owner's manual, and warranty. Even if the system is a few years mature, it may still have warranty coverage.
Possible problems would include blower relays, or warmth sensors that tell the blower when to see in. There could be a crack or split in the plenum, or burner/heating constituent area.
Good Luck
There is a hose or drain on or implicit the bottom that gets full of hose and causes this. My husband fixes it, but he is asleep.
