GE Side by Side Icemaker broken!!!? I have a GE Side By Side Fridge and the Icemaker suddenly...

I have a GE Side By Side Fridge and the Icemaker suddenly stopped working. The river dispenser works fine. the Ice has stopped working for more or less a month now. Anyone know what the problem might be? Any lend a hand would be greatly appreciated!!

Answers:    I enjoy a GE side by side and have have the ice author repaired a couple of times. Here are some things to check. The filter on the back wants to be changed because it is full. The water dispenser will verbs to work, but the ice initiator won't because the water can bypass the filter. The electronic arm stops working to give an account the filled rime tray to dump the ice. You can share this if you feel inside the tray and within is ice cubes, but they won't dump into the bin. The churn at the bottom of the bin stops functioning. If you find that the rime has dumped, jam-packed the bin, but won't come through the dispenser. Mine has a big churn point at the bottom of the bin which is what delivers the rime into the door and it stopped turning so the ice couldn't be deliver through the dispenser. If you hear the churn thingy working when you hit the button to dispense the ice, the problem is surrounded by the door. Check the chute that is on the door that the churny things pushes the rime into. You can reach your mitt down there to see whether anything is lodged contained by there. Once I have a huge hunk of ice that be blocking the delivery chute.
