Answers:    in attendance is no charge for investigating a gas leak but if they find a overrun on your side (after the meter and all the piping within your house) then they can red marker you meter until it is fixed by a qualified plumper and reinspected by a serviceman. if you suspect a leak don't touch anything surrounded by your home. leaving everything alone, and phone your gas company from a neighbors house.

They do not charge. But it is almost a given if they see rust or anything they will RED TAG the appliance till a service man gets in that.
