I'm currently renting a (1,500 sq ft) house in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I'm newly now seeing what seem to be to be completely absurd gas bills. The meter reading is physical, however, and I'm beginning to wonder if I hold some sort of leak or something to rationale this?
Here is a break down of the last few months:
September - 15 Therms
October - 24 Therms
November - 32 Therms
December - 75 Therms
January - 87 Therms
I would expect a bump up contained by the cold months, but that big of a bump? For the last third of December, and the first quarter of January, I wasn't even in-town! And the entire time that I own the heat on contained by this house is a span of about 4 hours respectively evening, otherwise the thermostat is all the route down.
Is this a leak, or the authentic thing? There does appear to be a gain issue on the thermostat/furnace, as I recurrently hear the blower turn on one every five minutes and air come out of the ducts surrounded by the middle of the night, even though the bake is off (and house around 60 degF)
Answers: Check next to your neighbors and see what they are getting. That does sound in the order of right though. My gas bill are about 4 times more contained by the winter than summer. Your gas company might have a "budget-pay" plan that averages out your once a year usage, and you pay freshly one amount all year long.
even beside heat adjectives the way down itll still carry on the 60 degrees so whether you are home or not it cost;but sounds for a time fishy to me the usage when your not even home
