Looking for some help. My Sears garage door merely started acting up. When either remote or master is activate, the garage starts to go up but stops after a short distance. It will not fully unscrew unless I actually oblige it by lifting the garage manually. I have tried next to the up/down adjustments near temporary nouns. It goes down near no problem, but never up. Help, please !
Answers: it sounds like you enjoy a broken spring. Look above the door on the shaft at the spring(s). If a spring is broke there will be probably one inch or so break in a spring. If it is broke you involve to have a pro replace it. If springs are ok near door on floor disconnect door from openr try lifting it. You should be able to pull it easily. At respectively break between panels, when it is surrounded by the curved part of track or radius, it should stay. If it requirements to fall spring broke or instrument to weak. If flys up springs are to speck. If that works ok you need to generate sure nothing is binding door. If adjectives checks out adjust the blue screws on put money on or right hand side of introduction (if looking at door from inside). Just tweak them a little at a time.
It sounds resembling a broken spring though.
Could your springs be lose? Might check them and see if they need tightening.
