I have an issue near my furnace, it wont stay on, and there is a blinking green hurricane lantern, it says on the sticker effective it it means lockdown, a safekeeping feature, we tried turning on the enthusiast and it wont suck in nouns, we want to try to resolve the issue ourselves, because the oil company they cant draw from someone out there, until Friday. And it's too cold to lurk that long.
It's a bennett Furance, it sounds like it's trying to come on, when we turn it on, but it turns bad.
If anyone can help, please tolerate us know. Thank you. Will add further information if asked, i'm not sure what you need to know.
Answers: Warning: If you own repeatedly reset the safety switch, you may be soaking the fire brick (liner) inside your furnace next to oil. THIS IS DANGEROUS. STOP.
If you hold reset the furnace twice and it fails to oil lamp off, you own a problem.
1. Do you have grease in the container? - you would be surprised at how many service call end up as "Out Of Oil" (AKA 3-O)
2. Did you run out of grease before innards the tank? - if you run out of oil and a short time ago filled the container without have someone bleed the line, you can bet your pump is air-bound and wants to be purged.
Other than those two obvious situations, you should enjoy the furnace checked by a qualified service mechanic. They are trained to adjust your furnace so that it is safe for your home (fire or explosion risk) and its occupant (carbon monoxide risk). They also can adjust it to its maximum efficiency to put aside you money.
Don't risk your home or your family. Have your furnace checked by a qualified technician.
You may aspiration to call another contractor to service the furnace up to that time the oil company can obtain there.
i have that problem with my miller grease furnace.the switch on the box had to be replaced.you should lurk to get it looked at because if you keep hold of pushing the reset button you will flood your line.
