Frost contained by the INSIDE of the glass? I live in an apartment, its remarkably old and incredibly neglected maintenance...
I live in an apartment, its remarkably old and incredibly neglected maintenance sagacious..except what the tenants do to fix it up. Last dark it was going on for 15 degrees. This morning I pulled hindmost the curtains in my bedroom and both window from top to bottom were covered within frost.. on the inside, I had to use a scrapper on the inside of my bedroom window. I'm stuck in a lease so I hold to do something, any suggestion on a cheap solution?
Answers: The cheapest solution would be to install a plastic window tools inside. Not the most attractive method, but they do help a large amount. The ones that have plastic that you shrink near a hair dryer look a bit better than the cheaper ones.
Also, you may want to consider a dehumidifier. The reality that you have frost on the inside of the window indicates 1) they are not well insulated and 2) you hold too much moisture in your living space. The dehumidifier will not sustain the heat situation, but it will hand over you a healthier living environment.
What you enjoy is condensation...you can keep the curtains start just a bit, lower the humidity within your apt. or better windows installed.
