Thanks for all serve to previous inquiry. Both the freezer and fresh area fan run fine when door is closed. If my coils need cleaning, how do I access them for inspect and cleanif they are located inside the walled area that separates the two compartments? Also, would they really return with dirty being within such an enclosed nouns? Thanks for all of your minister to.
Answers: Larry,
Sorry, I wasn't clear about that part of a set in the other answer. No, you don't call for to access the heat loop between the section. That is not the part of the coils you verbs.
The coils that need cleaning are located any under the part accessed from the front, down the grill or with newer unit it can be all within the back at the back the back panel. Those contained by the rear involve cleaning less commonly.
For the ones accessed from the front, on the GE, you involve a coil brush, looks like a giant bottle brush (generally available where on earth they sell refrigs. or parts), a vacumn, and a flashlight to see what you are doing. It is tricky to get them verbs otherwise. Using only a vac. can oblige a lot but not really verbs it.
Those, they have normally have the evaporation tub sitting on them. You can pull that out. It have a couple foam pans to prevent jolting of the pan and they recurrently stick but it should come out without too much difficulty. You will want to rinse out that in thaw out water. Put jar back contained by same place so it is under the drain hose.
For the ones within the back lower at the back the cover, generally it is the slotted cover contained by the back that get plugged up first, blocking the heat, the airflow.
Do you hold pets? Refrigerators seem to approaching sucking up cat hair contained by to the coils. Pets mean it requirements cleaning more often.
If you donate approximate age and model number if might help us know more exactly what type and setup we are chitchat about. :)
Hope that help.
And good thought on other post to check the control for the crispers. Most folks with side by sides involve to have that surrounded by the warmest setting unless they like to hang on to a lot of meat contained by bottom.
Try the obvious first. Have you checked that the thermostat is properly set?
My SxS allows cool nouns from the freezer to flow into the meat keeper so the meat stays fresh longer. Check that the meat warden drawer isn't set too cool, or even consider taping past its sell-by date the hole from the freezer.
