For a hose down dribble within the service splash, must the owner compensate for repair if the escape is beyond the property strip? Amherstburg, Ontario

Amherstburg, Ontario
Answers:    I'm not sure about how it works contained by Ontario; however, in most U.S. cities, the responsibility lies near the homeowner only to the edging of the property line. Then it is the utility companies duty to provide and keep going safe and tolerable lines.

If your utility company tries to get you to rob responsibility for it, I would use this approach to put responsibilty back on them:

Tell them if you be to repair it and something went wrong, you or your repairment might mess up the total area's system and you don't want to take responsibility for their other customers as okay as your own line. Also point out that your workers could bring back hurt on the job and that this would imply a potential lawsuit against them and not you.

Hope this is of some help.
Uasually if its on your side of the meter.............#######
