Flame rollout? I have a forced hot river system that is experiencing flame rollout....
I have a forced hot river system that is experiencing flame rollout. I checked the draft up to the stack and it seem to be clear. This unit is running surrounded by unison with a hotwater furnace. they are Y'd off the chimney. the furnace is running fime. I know the gas was bad for sometime, I was wondering if the turning on of the gas might own moved sediment into the main gas regulator spigot and b causing this. The flame runs okay for about 3 minutes though. Could someone please contribute me any and all possible cause for FLAME-ROLLOUT! THANKS!
Answers: I have other found that shared flue pipe performs much better if they are kept completely seperate from one-another; within other words, no Y's or T's at all.
With that said, I'd look at your chimney bonnet, cleanout, and anywhere else draft could be impeded. Is in that enough makeup nouns for the appliance? Do you have a massive exhaust fan or clothes dryer running within reach?
You mentioned that the gas was rotten for awhile. Has the pressure been checked at the appliance? Overfiring can make happen rollout.
Call in a tech to do a thorough cleaning and assessment gas pressure at the manifold if everything checks out beside your flue. It could be something as simple as spiderwebs in the burner venturis, much resembling what happens to an hoary barbeque.
It sounds like the warmth exchanger on the boiler is partially plugged. This is exceedingly dangerous and should be cleaned immediately!
