I have an IKEA bureau swivel chair that have two levers: one make the chair walk up and down and one lever allows the seat subsidise to be moved back/forth.
My problem is that the chair is immediately starting to slip a little and occassionally when I sit on it the bench seat sinks down (as if you verbs the up/down lever). I am 100% sure I am not hitting the lever by accident.
It does not crop up all the time but it is getting to the point where on earth it is bothering me enough to any get the stool fixed or trash it and get a trial one. I would like to fix it a bit than throw it out. Any ideas on how to fix the 'hydraulic lever mechanism' so that it stays contained by place at all times or is this a sign that the bench is at the end of its adjectives life?
Answers: Your first mistake be buying from Ikea. You get what you reward for. They handle cheaply made furniture. Most made from iota board. I certainly wouldn't buy bureau furniture that gets allot of use from them. Next time spend for a time more and get a well-mannered product that will stand up to the continual use..
IKEA stuff is junk.....don't idle away your time....buy a good part chair
