after fitting a combi boiler the engineers have told me they will remove the hot water reservoir from the airing cupboard in my bedroom which is floor to ceiling and about 2'x3'x8' it will be an leave space that he has hinted i may like to use as another wardrobe however I enjoy a bathroom downstairs and would like to use the new space as any a toilet or shower can anyone out there tell me if this is possible and approx how much would it cost also would near be much upheaval in the room as i don't want to spend too much with decorate etc. Please help!
Answers: First thing is to hang on to the old copper tank for yourself, it is worth around 50 scrap. As to a shower in the airing cupboard, you enjoy to think how you will run the waste hose down from the shower to an outlet.
Finally, you must think of the condensation you could have and I would suggest that you fit a vent within the ceiling of the shower to prevent this. I am assuming that the cupboard is upstairs with an attic above it.
Sounds feasible. Make sure you own a shower tray with upstands. The tile overlap these so no leaks come to pass. nothing worse than a leaky shower on the first floor!
Also, if you cannot easily connect near the drains, look into fitting a Saniflow pump. They are brilliant, as they will pump waste water almost anywhere to a soil pipe. Even via the loft if called for. Same applies to a WC installation. Visit Saniflow website for info.
