I am a first time homeowner and recently my furnace a moment ago would not come on, so obviously I call a few places for help. Just to take someone out to my house they wanted to charge me between $36 and $70, but I enjoy found a few who have offered free estimates. Out of 4 companies, solitary one have if truth be told showed up. He told me the thermacouple(?) may need to be replaced and would cost $80 (including labor). I go ahead and told him I would get stern to him. My question is..how is billing handle if I decided to enjoy this person fix my furnace? Would this be an instantaneous payment or do they in recent times bill you and give you a time frame to income? My pay afternoon is over a week away and need to know if I can hold it fixed and pay next or need direct payment. Any feedback, except rude as expected, would be appreciated.
Most require pay after the work is complete. You can delay settlement if you use a credit card and some accept them, some don't so ask.

Answers: Fix it yourself, it's not that tough to replace the thermacoupIe, it will take you smaller number than 1 hr. and the part will cost you around $10.The simply tools you will need is a screwdriver and an adjustable wrench.Go to home depot and notify them what kind of furnace you own such as a gas furnace.I seriously think you should atleast attempt doing it yourself because this is a adjectives repair your gonna be able to do yourself.P.S dont forget to turn the gas rotten, its at the bottom of your furnace on a square metal box with a dial on it.
