We have a 40 year mature house. Fireplace is not vented so the door to the den wishes to remain open when there's a fire. Unless you are right subsequent to the fireplace, it gives rotten on heat and the room get colder. Is there a liner or something that will direct the roast into the room? thank you

A fireplace is not an restructured way to grill. Consider getting a fireplace insert, like a wood stove that fits into the first showing. I have one and it works okay.

except there be a chiminey

but basically since fry always moves to cold to try and do equilibrium it draws all the bake up the chiminey tp the outside.
and the room gets colder.
