My ferrets are free roam. I own 4 female ferret. They have torn through the bottom of my boxspring of my mattress set so i tried putting my boxspring directly on the floor. so they tore through the side of my boxspring to capture inside. So I covered my box spring with a fitted sheet.. they tore through the fitted sheet. I'm running out of planning on how to ferret-proof my boxspring. I don't want to use something messy like duct cassette.
Please give suggestions on how to compactly ferret-proof the boxspring.
Also how to ferret proof the carpet by doorways... they shred up the carpeting around doors.

Answers:    I'm not sure what it is call but there is a spray you can buy from a pet store. We have ferrets and the spray have a nice scent but it is something that the ferrets did not similar to. We sprayed it where they chewed and dug and this solved the problem. You can check at your local pet shop. Hope this help.
