The all-wood fence within question consists of posts beside rails, where on earth the rails enter into holes cut into respectively post. The posts, obviously, are set into the ground. How do I replace the broken rail without moving/removing the posts? This is a wall around a 6 acre property, so moving posts isn't an option. The rail are longer than the space between each post, as the guardrail ends go into respectively post. Any help is appreciated!!
Answers: Well, if the rail are nailed into the slots on post, u call for to buy a reciprocating saw near a long wood/ metal blade, so u can reach into the post and rip the staple out so u can pull the guiderail from the slot. That's the only chance I see. Because, the other way is use a fastener puller and do 1 at a time. Time is essential. As a contractor, u got to accumulate time, to earn ur pay.
Unless, u want to do a few a sunshine and get retribution by the days...
If the rails are longer than the space between posts, after odds are that the rail are tapered on respectively end. This allows you to simply slide the guiderail to one side until the other end pulls free of the post. This is nearly the only method to replace one without removing the post. You may involve to cut a taper on at least one close of the replacement rail.
