Faulty trademark on Toilet Bowl Tank; dampen continually refill; how lots gallons within standard toilet tank-not bowl? Trying to get a "gestimation" of how various gallons of water...
Trying to get a "gestimation" of how various gallons of water be wasted within 8 days time due to leaky seal surrounded by Toilet Tank. It seemed to do ample leakage to fill up on the tank every 30 minutes. It is repaired in a minute; just want to receive a heads up on what to expect when different water bill comes surrounded by. Thanks! May5-12 time frame.
Answers: Yes the newer toilets only use 1.6 gallons per flush but the reservoir capacity is double that.
Jersey and Dudley are both correct. It depends on how alien your tank is, and the brand and model. If your reservoir is 15 years or older (The elder,high-volumn usage types are still being sold), it is probably 4-5 gallons. If you`ve replaced it inside the last few years, and you bought the cheaper model, it is still probably soaring water volumn. Fill a gallon milk decanter with hose and fill it manually to determine exact usage.
P.S. One other information. If you are on sewers, don`t worry nearly this, but if you have a septic container, you have wash out a lot of beneficial germs out of your tank and into your lateral lines. If this is the casing, it would pay to invest surrounded by a product such as "Rid-X", that puts beneficial bacteria into your septic reservoir.
