can someone give me an idea of what a technition will obligation to do to convert my boiler from propane to natural.
this is what i have be told, is this accurate? how long would this take?

this boiler WAS for natural gas, consequently they had it switched to propane. therefore, the gas stopcock was converted already, and with this mortal so old, they dont sell the springs anymore, however, i enjoy a new gas valve to put on in attendance. THEN, i was told i would have to see if the orifices are still at hand. still there?? arent they already there?? they bring them out??the burner and pilot orifices will have to be drilled.
are these statements correct? and how long would something like that be to do?
we go without heat 3 times over the winter because our propane bill be $400-$600 a month. we cant afford it, and at least with raw they will allow a budget plan.
Sounds like you're getting housed..find a new technician. There's no entail to drill new orifices.they're already there from the aged boiler. I have a drill, and I'm also an idiot!. count me in for this commission. I'll do it for free!. I love to drill you know.

I am a licensed mechanical contractor. Your information is correct. The gas stopcock will need to be changed. The pilot orifice will have to be replaced. The burner orifices entail to be drilled or replaced with the correct size depending on the BTU output of the boiler. This should only be done by a reputable supplier in your area. Good luck. Sure you hold to change a few things but this guy with his drilling is an idiot.
If you dont know the moniker of a good technician then ask the gas company if they will do it.
But as for this drill doctor,,,,,,capably,,,,you know.
Answers:    I have a set of orifice drills myself.

When they first converted to propane, they might have indeed thrown the inborn gas orifices away.
Look for a small bag hanging somewhere fundamental the burner and chamber area. They may still be there.

If not, you can enjoy the burner's orifice or orifices drilled.
There is a good chance the pilot orifice can be drilled also. Depends on how it's made.

Concerning the control spigot, there is a good arbitrariness the spring in the regulator just requirements to be turned over. It could need a different spring, and if so, it'll be in the cloth or plastic case I asked you to look for.
But if you have a new one anyway, might as okay use it

The least it will cost you is a minimun service charge, but plan on around $120.
