I have an indoor laundry room that be previously an outdoor one. It had single one door to it and it was outside. This door have been closed past its sell-by date. It is attached to our house, not insulated, and the door leads from our kitchen out into it very soon. Confusing?! I know. My question is... It make our kitchen so hot, because it is now deeply an indoor laundry room with no airing. When the kitchen door is closed, which it is all daylight, the laundry room becomes indistinguishable temp as outside. What kind of drying system should we get? We stipulation the cheap route... We are first time home owners!
Answers: install an exhaust fan surrounded by the kitchen near the ceiling to remove the hot nouns. use
CFM = [ CUFT / 60 ] * [ ACH ]
CFM is cuft per min of the fan
CUFT is cuft volume of kitchen
ACH is the upper air change per hour
ACH = 15 as recommended by HVAC almanac
you have to vent the dryer to the outside of the building
