A friend of mine did a big costuming project recently using mighty putty, and does not wash her hand after using the stuff. I can't find the MSDS on their site, but it mentions that the hardener is amine, which typically means that it's caustic satisfactory to cause blindness if it gets surrounded by your eyes.
Will I be at any danger from staying at the house where she uses the stuff? She works on things indoors. Is it imagined that there's enough hardener residue on common surfaces from her hand to cause any vision loss if I be to rub my eyes, or would any dangerous residue stick around on my clothes?
Answers: there is not ample residue to do such a thing unless you stick it in your eyes directly,i use this type stuff on a afternoon to day basis and enjoy found no problems with it except it smells very desperate when it starts to cure...so i say no you will not go blind or suffer phantasm loss from exposure...hope this eases your worries a bit have a great hours of daylight !!
Dump your friend. It is getting too complicated.
