My sister plugged in a blow dryer this moring and in a minute me and my bro don't have power contained by our rooms. We tried the circuit breaker but nothing worked. Any suggestions?
Answers: Either surrounded by the bathroom or in the kitchen (both places which require Ground Fault Circuit Interupters (GFCI) you will see a black and red button on one of the outlets. One is a testing and the other is a reset.....press the reset on any outlet you see a GFCI outlet.
If the blow-drier keeps blowing the circuit, it may be time to replace it. This is an indication of an internal short.....Not a complete short-out, but current is leak from the hot wire to ground..
