Our outside Christmas lights burnt out. Well, nil was tripped surrounded by the electrical box but we reset all anyway. Ended up, the outside outlet doen't work anymore. Our lights worked after we used an extension chord and plugged it into another outlet. Question: What does it pinch to make the electricity work within that outside outlet now? Is it expensive?

Thanks so much surrounded by advance!!!
Answers:    Your outside outlet is required to be GFI protected,
- probably it's the outlet itself.
Reset the GFI outlet, (it have a button so marked).
Then see if you can find out why it tripped.
(Poor insulation on those cheap christmas lights
is a likely aim. - Most are marginal at best.
- Ho Ho Ho)
If the GFI outlet keeps tripping beside the lights
connected, they are unsafe.
It could be a quick fix but lacking seeing it, I really couldn't say what the problem is.
